By visiting riverside-orthodontics.ca (the “Site”), requesting an appointment, submitting a referral form, or otherwise interacting with Riverside Orthodontics (“the Practice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws. If you do not accept every provision below, please refrain from using the Site or our online services.
We may review and update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
All text, graphics, images, and other content on this Site are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical or dental advice. Individual diagnosis and treatment can be provided only after an in-person examination by a licensed orthodontist or dentist. Never disregard professional advice because of something you read on this Site.
· Accuracy of Information: You agree that any information you provide—patient intake, referral, or payment—is complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
· Confirmation: Submitting an online request does not guarantee an appointment. A member of our team will contact you to confirm dates, times, and any fees.
· Cancellations: We request at least two business days’ notice to reschedule or cancel; late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee as outlined in office policy documents available at reception.
1 - Estimates vs. Actual Costs – Any fee estimate provided online or by phone is preliminary. Final costs depend on clinical findings, appliance choice, and insurance verification.
2 - Insurance Claims – As a courtesy, we can submit claims on your behalf, but you remain financially responsible for any balance not covered by your plan.
3 - Referral Rewards / Promotions – Gift cards, account credits, or discounts earned through our Refer-a-Friend or other promotions are issued only after the referred patient’s treatment begins and their initial payment is cleared. Promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
All trademarks, service marks, logos, and original content displayed on the Site remain the exclusive property of Riverside Orthodontics or its content suppliers. You may view, download, or print single copies for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other reproduction or distribution requires prior written consent.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., insurance portals, educational articles). We do not control or endorse these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.
Personal information submitted through our forms is collected in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and stored securely. Please review our separate Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle, share, and protect your data.
Under no circumstances shall Riverside Orthodontics, its owners, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of—or relating to—your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any direct loss shall not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Riverside Orthodontics and its affiliates against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively before the courts of Ottawa, Ontario.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid by a court, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
