Your First Visit

Everything you need to know — before and during your first orthodontic visit

Before Your Appointment

What to Do

Why It Matters

Saves 10–15 minutes at reception and lets the team review your medical/dental history in advance.
Bring Insurance & ID
Ensures we can verify benefits and give you an accurate cost estimate on the spot.
Brush & Floss
A clean mouth allows for clearer photos, X-rays, and easier examination.
List Your Questions
Write down anything you’d like to ask the orthodontist — treatment options, timing, costs, etc.
If Under 18
A parent or legal guardian must attend the consultation to consent for records and treatment.

During Your Appointment

Welcome & Check-In

We review your forms, confirm insurance, and give you a short office tour.

Diagnostic Records

Digital photos, a 3-D scan, and low-dose panoramic / cephalometric X-rays help us evaluate your bite and plan treatment accurately.

Clinical Examination

The orthodontist examines tooth alignment, jaw function, and oral health. Feel free to stop us any time to ask questions.

Treatment Discussion

You’ll see an on-screen simulation of potential results. We compare solutions (braces, clear aligners, specialty appliances) and outline timelines, fees, and payment options.

Next-Step Scheduling

If you’re ready, we reserve your appliance-placement visit and provide a printed/emailed summary of everything discussed.
